Description

IC 342, also known as Caldwell 5, is a spiral galaxy located in the Camelopardalis constellation, which is situated in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is often referred to as the "Hidden Galaxy" because of its obscured location behind the Milky Way's central plane and the resulting high levels of interstellar dust and gas that block much of its visible light.
